Lotto pot breaches P100-million mark
MANILA, Philippines – The jackpot prize for the 6/49 Super Lotto game of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) yesterday breached the P100-million mark as no one got the winning combination during the draw last Thursday.
PCSO assistant general manager for online lotto operations Conrado Zabella told The STAR that with the P100-million jackpot at stake, sales of Super Lotto tickets have also increased.
“The prize projection is P100 million or more,” Zabella said. “The bigger the prize, the more people will play the game.”
Zabella said the winning combination during last Thursday’s draw – 39-26-36-43-48-46 – carried the jackpot prize of P93,499,466.40,
He said the average sale of Super Lotto tickets has ballooned to P17 million a day.
Meantime, the jackpot prize for Power Lotto, which will be drawn tonight, has reached P 56.9 million.
The Power Lotto is aimed at rich players who are willing to pay P50 per ticket to win an average P50-million jackpot prize.
