Regular classes will resume today in public elementary and high schools nationwide after the long holiday break.
Education Undersecretary for Regional Operations Ramon Bacani said that they expect public school teachers to be back in their respective schools to resume classes and the millions of students in public schools to troop back to their classrooms.
“They already know the Department of Education’s school calendar and they are expected back in school tomorrow (today),” Bacani said of the readiness of public school teachers.
Bacani said that DepEd expects the resumption of classes to go smoothly, with about 42,000 public elementary and high schools ready for the return of students.
“We don’t see any problem. It will just be a resumption of school which has gone on smoothly before the break,” Bacani said. – Rainier Allan Ronda
