Zubiri still with Lakas

Rep. Juan Miguel Zubiri of the third district of Bukidnon clarified yesterday he remains the secretary-general of the ruling administration Lakas-CMD party to correct mis-impressions created by his appearance in the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino (LDP) national congress held last Wednesday at the Manila Hotel.

Zubiri joined fellow Lakas stalwart House majority leader Prospero Nograles of Davao as representatives of their party who were invited to attend the LDP meeting on Charter change.

"I am very proud to represent Lakas and I have been a member of the party since day 1 of my political career up to now," Zubiri said in a statement sent to The STAR.

Zubiri was mentioned in the photo caption the other day raising his hands with the LDP leaders headed by its president, Sen. Edgardo Angara.
