Chinese magazine cites GMA for reforms

The worlds biggest Chinese-language magazine cited President Arroyo for bold reforms in the Philippines.
In its July 22-28 issue, Yazhou Zhoukan (Asia Weekly), which is the Time magazine of the Chinese-speaking world, hailed Mrs. Arroyo for her vision of a "Strong Republic," her campaign against crime, her vow to implement the death penalty for heinous criminals, and her other moves that were compared to that of Chinas reformist Deng Xiaoping.
The magazine ran a nine-page special report by STAR columnist Wilson Lee Flores who interviewed various business, banking industrial, media, civic and Chinese community leaders on their reactions on the Arroyo presidency. It also has an exclusive interview of the President where she expressed serious hopes to crush criminality and build a resilient and globally competitive Philippine economy.
