834 new doctors

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday that 834 out of 1,263 examinees successfully passed the Physician (Complete, Finals and Finals with Prelims) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine this month.

The members of the Board of Medicine are Dr. Rodolfo P. de Guzman, chairman; Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando; Dr. Jose S. Ramirez; Dr. Juanito B. Billote; and Dr. Ricardo D. Fulgencio II, members.

The results were released two days from the last day of examination.

Registration for the issuance of certificates will start on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002 but not later than Wednesday, March 6, 2002.

Those who will register are required to bring the following: latest community tax certificate; 2 pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background), 1 piece 1" x 1" picture; 3 pieces documentary stamps, and 1 small brown envelope; and an initial registration fee of P400.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their professional oath will be held before the Board on Sunday, March 10, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of the Manila Midtown Hotel, Pedro Gil street, Ermita, Manila.

The successful examinees who garnered the 10 highest places are the following:

2) Carlo Rodrigo Sanchez Carreon, 86.50;
3) Caezar Jr Garcia Jara, 86.42;
4) Kenneth Patrick Lazaro Ligaray, 86.33;
5) Jocel Jusay Lacsamana, 85.83;
6) Cynthia Uy Liao, 85.75; 6) Ivy Mae Hernandez Salapare, 85.75;
7) Leilani Cruz Adviento, 85.50;
8) Faith Lique Tulio, 85.33;
9) Kristine Tan Lo, 85.25;
10) Grace Marie Perlas Vellez-Garcia, 85.17.
