MANILA, Philippines — Megan Young is not interested in joining Miss Universe even after the pageant recently announced that it is lifting the age requirement of candidates.
In her interview with select press at last weekend's 15th anniversary celebration of Filipino company Lifestrong, the Miss World 2013 said she is happy with her current life.
"No, I'm happy now where I am," the beauty queen-actress replied to Philstar.com's question if she would be open to the idea of joining the future iteration of the pageant.
Megan is the endorser of personal and beauty brand Megan Beauty by the Filipino company.
She was asked what she thinks about the recent announcement of Miss Universe Organization that it is lifting the age requirement for future delegates. The organization previously set the age limit to 28.
"I think it's great. I think the times are changing. Pageants are changing. It's changed so much throughout the years and, you know, we're just moving with the times. I'm really happy to see that," said Megan.
Megan is the first Filipina to win the Miss World crown in 2013. Before she joined the pageant, she was already an actress.
She currently stars as Diana Royales in the family mystery drama "The Royal Blood," now on its last week on GMA-7's Telebabad slot.
