MANILA, Philippines — Pop singer-songwriter Ariana Grande is releasing her much-anticipated seventh album on March 8.
After a favorable reception to her lead single "Yes, And?," Ariana revealed the cover artworks and the release date of her newest album "Eternal Sunshine."
The album's title was officially confirmed after Ariana dropped several hints by referencing the Jim Carrey-Kate Winslet movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and the Alexander Pope album "Eloisa to Abelard," which has film title in its lines.
One of the cover artworks doubles as the image for "Yes, And?," which dropped last January 12, while the two new ones show Ariana in a white babydoll top and red tulle gloves.
Ariana released a music video for the Madonna-inspired track on the same day featuring choreography that mirrors the song's lyrics about how she deals with the public perception on her personal life, relationships and appearance.
The music video, directed by Christian Breslauer, was reminiscent of Paula Abdul's "Cold Heart." The former "American Idol" host trended on social media as fans pointed out the similarities, which Paula warmly accepted.
Ariana's last solo release was for her sixth album "Positions" from 2020, though she had since collaborated with The Weeknd, Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson and Kid Cudi.
Apart from her makeup line R.E.M., Ariana has been busy filming back-to-back the split film adaptation of the Broadway musical "Wicked," where she will portray Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo's Elphaba.
