Local artists set up benefit concert for typhoon victims

MANILA, Philippines- Different artists from the local music industry are performing on August 25 for the benefit of Filipinos left flooded and homeless by the southwest monsoon and the recent typhoon Maring.

'Music Heals: A Benefit Concert' will include volunteer artists from different genres, including Jim Paredes and Buboy Garovillo, Ebe Dancel, Jay Durias, Mayonnaise and True Faith, among others.

The concert starts at 1 p.m. at the Radio Republic parking lot at 2299 Don Chino Roces Ave. Ext., Brgy. Magallanes, Makati City.

The Philippine Red Cross will be on site to collect donations including food, hygiene kits and basic necessities for the typhoon victims. Cash and check donations payable to the Philippine Red Cross are also accepted.

The benefit concert is made possible by joint efforts of the Philippine Red Cross, TAO Corp.,happy Chef, B-side Productions, JB Music, Creative Control Group, Soundcheck, Forerunner and New EZ Kleen Portalet Corp.
