MANILA, Philippines — Actress-model Chie Filomeno issued a statement clearing the air on her supposed separation with Jake Cuenca and her spat with a certain "Sofia."
Chie and Jake have not outright stated they've ended their two-year relationship, although earlier this month Jake did admit "that chapter of his life was over."

Last week, Chie calling out someone named "Sofia" for "spreading hate" about her on social media.
"Truly heartbreaking. I know she's evil but didn’t expect her to go this low. I am not suprised anymore tho. I really wish she does not feel this kind of pain," Chie said then. "Because I will never ever do something like this, I do not want my future child to be treated the way you treat people. I was gonna let karma do its job — nope I am your karma."
While she never indicated a surname, Filipinos online have speculated Chie was referring to fellow actress Sofia Andres, whose partner Daniel Miranda is a relative Cebu businessman Matthew Lhuillier, whom Chie was linked to but has since denied.
In a statement sent to home network ABS-CBN, Chie addressed her supposed break-up with Jake and the personal attacks being hurled at her.

Chie acknowledged that being in show business means being open to online and offline judgment, however, she stressed she isn't public property despite being a public figure and wanted to set things straights.
"This will be the last time na magsasalita ako about this issue, and I'm choosing to respond with calm, care, and clarity," the actress said, sharing her early entertainment beginnings that led to becoming the family's sole provider.
The actress reiterated she honorably works to help her loved ones and expressed gratitude to brands, designers, partners and supporters who've put their trust in her.
"When it comes to my personal life — my previous relationship was public, and I'm thankful for that chapter," Chie said, echoing Jake's words. "But now, I've found new connections and safe spaces that I want to protect from unnecessary attention."
"This time, I'm choosing peace and privacy. And when the time comes, you'll see what love looks like when it’s nurtured quietly. For now, this is what I can share — my truth, my story, my peace," Chie ended.
