MANILA, Philippines — Our favorite good boy and dimple prince visited Manila for the third time!
“Start Up” and “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” actor Kim Seon Ho first came to Manila in January 2023 for his first-ever fan meet here. He also attended the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) in December of the same year.
For his latest visit, he headlined the “COLOR+FULL” fan meet presented by UFC and MakeitLive Asia on April 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena. The K-drama star was also introduced as the newest endorser of UFC as the latter launched products inspired by Korean flavors.
“It’s been four months since my last visit, you guys always greet me happily. I’m really grateful,” Seon Ho said during the first part of the event.
During the fan meet, Seon Ho got candid with Pinoy fans as he gamely answered personal and playful questions.
If he were reborn as an animal, he revealed he would choose to be a dog.
“I want to be transformed into a dog, I actually have a pet dog and I want to communicate with him,” Seon Ho said.
Spotted in the event were Seonhohadas (Seon Ho’s fans) wearing a hanbok and Tteok-bokki costumes. Lucky fans were also given a chance to play and interact with the actor on stage and they even posed for a polaroid photo.
Seon Ho played telepathy game, Pinoy version of tongue twister, and Philippines’ traditional native sport sipa.
The audience was impressed on how Seon Ho was able to recite the famous Pinoy tongue twister “Siopao, siomai, suman.”
The crowd also erupted after Seon Ho spoke several Tagalog phrases such as “Hello po,” “Kamusta po kayo?,” “Sana mag-enjoy kayo,” “Salamat po,” and “Mahal ko kayo.”
“It’s Showtime” host Ryan Bang gave a light and hilarious environment as he hosted Seon Ho’s fan meet.
“Kahit nabubulol siya (mag-Tagalog) kilig na kilig kayo, no? Sana all!” he said in jest.
“Dun kita unang nakita sa AAA (Asia Artist Awards). Natulala ako sa sobrang gwapo niya non. Four months (ago lang), lalo siyang gumagwapo,” Ryan said to Seon Ho.
Ryan even invited the South Korean actor to guest in his noontime show. “Meron po (kaming) live show every day — ‘It’s Showtime,’ so next time if you have the chance, please visit ‘It’s Showtime.’”
Seon Ho bowed and said, “If there’s an opportunity, I’ll make sure to participate.”
“Thank you so much, I hope I will see you soon in ‘Showtime,’” Ryan replied and joked to the audience to video him and tag his “Mommy Vice” — Vice Ganda — after trying to convince him to visit the show.
Seonhohadas also teased the actor as they screamed the name “Boyet” when he asked the audience to suggest an English name.
“Parang hindi bagay,” Ryan joked.
“Sa susunod niyang balik dito sa Manila, iisip daw siya ng English name para po sa inyong lahat,” Bang said as he translated Seon Ho’s reaction.
During the later part of the event, Seon Ho channeled his inner chef as he prepared a fried rice meal featuring UFC’s Fun Chow Korean-style Rice Mixes.
Filo fans did not also forget to greet and sing a happy birthday to Seon Ho, who will celebrate his 38th birthday on May 8.
“You guys are my first celebrants of my birthday. I will keep and treasure your precious hearts going back to Korea,” he noted.
“The Childe” actor expressed his utmost gratitude to his fans for always showing up whenever he is visiting the country.
“Thank you so much guys for joining me. I’ll make sure I’ll be a colorful actor who shows various charms to you, guys. I am very thankful and very happy. Salamat po,” Seon Ho said to his Pinoy fans.
