MANILA, Philippines — Pop singer Sarah Geronimo repped the Philippines well at the Billboard Women In Music ceremony in Los Angeles where she is one of three recipients of the Global Force award.
The artist accompanied by husband Matteo Guidicelli wore a custom-made pink gown with a corseted lining by Michael Cinco, paired with a layered choker set from JMA Jewelry.

Sarah donned a wolf cut hairstyle fixed by Raymond Santiago, topped off with makeup by Gela Laurel.
The singer was interviewed by Rania Aniftos and Lilly Singh on the event's red carpet where Sarah was asked what it meant for a female artist like her to have a global impact.
"A Global Force means having that power to influence people, and it also comes with a big responsibility," Sarah said, admitting it was an unexpected recognition. "You have to be mindful about the material you put out there, you have to create change and positivity towards others."
Lilly then asked Sarah about being in an event specifically championing and highlighting women, and Sarah began her response by calling women strong and beautiful.
Sarah even mentioned the difficulties of marriage, to which Lilly pointed out Matteo was just behind the camera before Sarah called men beautiful as well.

"[Matteo] is right over there so this is all the more entertaining... she got you!" Lilly told the offscreen Matteo.
After praising men for looking out for women, Sarah saluted mothers all over the world including her own mom Divina.
"Shout out to my mother Mommy Divine Geronimo, you are the best, you are my hero, I love you very much," Sarah exclaimed, admitting being a mother was unimaginable for her given the sacrifices they make for their children.
The Filipino artist asked Rania if she was a mother, to which the latter said she hoped to be one day while Lilly chipped in to being a fur parent like Sarah.
She ended her red carpet interview with a tribute to the Philippines, "I'm truly honored to be here to represent our country and our music. The Filipino music, mabuhay ang OPM!"
Italian artist Annalisa and Brazilian singer-songwriter Luísa Sonza also received the Global Force award from Billboard.
Other award recipients include Karol G (Woman of the Year), NewJeans (Group of the Year), Charli XCX (Powerhouse), Ice Spice (Hitmaker), Tems (Breakthrough) and Victoria Monét (Rising Star).
