This will be the fourth season of the "Mr. Bean" animated series which will have 52 11-minute episodes, bringing the show's total episode count since premiering in 2002 to 182.
It will air on several kids channels and streaming services around the world in 2025, which marks the 35th anniversary of the live-action series that also starred Atkinson as the titular character.
"I have always enjoyed this iteration of Mr. Bean and the particular freedoms he has in animated form. We can take him into space or down a tin mine, without me personally having to suffer the consequences," Atkinson said in a statement. "The animation process creatively is always fascinating and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the new series very much."
Atkinson also serves as an executive producer alongside Tom Beattie. Dave Osborne will direct the show while the head writers are Ciaran Murtagh and Andrew Barnett Jones.
The series follows the antics of Mr Bean and of course Teddy, as they embark on a series of adventures, making plenty of mischief along the way.
