The South Korean boy group Treasure said “hello” to their Filipino fans, also called Filo Teumes, with an electrifying first solo concert in Manila. They graced the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena stage for two nights on April 14 and 15.

The HELLO tour, presented by YG Entertainment and promoted by Live Nation Philippines, marked the 10-member band’s second time performing in the country after its Manila stage debut at the Kpop Masterz concert in July 2022.

Treasure’s Choi Hyun Suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Yoon Jae Hyuk, Asahi, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong Woo, and So Jung Hwan emerged on stage to the reverberating screams of Treasure Makers or Teumes, as they kicked off Day 1, which The STAR attended, with performances of hits Jikjin and Boy, accompanied by a live band.

The group maintained the energetic start with the hard bass-dropping song, I Love You, that synced with the fire effects, laser lights, and visual background on LED screens.

A sea of blue lights flickered inside the arena with Treasure, in their casual fits, moving to the extended stage and interacting with their fans whilst performing Going Crazy, Come to Me, and (B.L.T.) Bling Like This, all tracks from the first studio album.

As they introduced themselves, Treasure talked about how happy they were to be back and reunited with Filo Teumes, the Pinoy food they wanted to try out and local places they planned to visit as per fans’ recommendation.

“I’m so happy to meet you Filo Treasure Makers, we’re gonna have so much fun today,” said Hyun Suk.

“It feels like a dream come true to finally meet you,” said Yoshi.

Treasure took a break from the high-energy performances to serenade the crowd and showcase their live vocals and high notes with Slow Motion, It’s Okay, Orange, and Hold It In.

Singing and waving their Teulights (lightsticks) along to the music, Teumes got a better look at Treasure’s visuals when members were lifted on an elevated platform.

The decaplet brought cheers with its fun moves in Hello,Clap! and Darari, which the chorus’ choreography was adapted from a fan’s viral video on TikTok.

Treasure also brought kilig to fans and had them going crazy with Tagalog pick-up lines. Junkyu’s “Apoy ka ba? Kasi alab you,” Jihoon’s “Ikaw ang kayamanan ko,” and Jeongwoo’s “Ano ulit pangalan mo? Pwede bang mine na lang?” were just some of the lines that sent fans screaming their hearts out.

Sub-unit acts by Asahi and Haruto for Thank You and rap-infused track VolKno by Hyun Suk, Haruto, and Yoshi brought more hype to the crowd.

The boys then upped the ante with their addictive track MMM, followed by covers of their labelmate BIGBANG’s Bang Bang Bang, and iKON’s Rhythm Ta.

For the encore on Day 1, Treasure started off with Everyday and BFF. Rock version of Darari came next and a medley remix of some songs they earlier performed in the show.

It was a whole another memory to treasure for Pinoy Teumes on Day 2, as this writer learned that the boy group extended its more than two-hour show just to grant the fandom’s request for an impromptu performance of the Japanese tracks Beautiful and Yamai, which were not included in the official setlist.

Teumes, just the same, left the boys in awe with their rainbow ocean project, Teulight dance, and birthday cake surprise for Haruto (April 5) and Hyunsuk (April 21).

A huge banner display which read, “Don’t worry, lean on us. We’re not going anywhere, my TREASURE,” also tugged at the members’ hearts.

As the show came to a close, Treasure had nothing but words of gratitude for their Filipino fans’ love and support.

“Nag-enjoy ba kayo? I’ve been waiting to meet Philippine Teumes so long. I’m really happy to sing in front of you like this. Your love and support made me so proud. Thank you, always,” said Haruto.

“We had a great and amazing time today. I promise to come back here again soon, so please wait for us. Thank you. Salamat!” said Junghwan.

Not only Filo Teumes had fun watching Treasure perform live. Local celebrities AC Bonifacio and Denise Laurel, and social media star Niana Guerrero got to see the members up close and personal, collaborating on TikTok trends.

Treasure, one of the fastest-rising idol groups of this generation, was formed through YG’s survival show Treasure Box.

The group, originally a 12-piece, made its debut in August 2020. Former members Bang Yedam and Mashiho’s departure from the team was announced in November 2020.

Treasure will move on with its Asian leg tour with final stops in Macau and Hong Kong.
