MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Parade of Stars is set to take place this December 21, hosted by the Quezon City government.
The eight competing films of this year's MMFF will carry their respective stars on floats through a parade that will begin in Welcome Rotonda and end in Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC).
The first announced batch of MMFF 2022 films earlier this July were:
- "Labyu with an Accent" starring Coco Martin and Jodi Sta. Maria,
- "Nanahimik ang Gabi" starring Ian Veneracion, Heaven Peralejo, and Mon Confiado,
- "Partners in Crime" starring Vice Ganda and Ivana Alawi,"
- and "My Teacher" starring Joey de Leon, Toni Gonzaga, and Ronnie Alonte.

Meanwhile, the second batch of films announced three months later were:
- "Deleter" starring Nadine Lustre, Louise Delos Reyes, and McCoy de Leon,
- "Family Matters" starring Noel Trinidad and Liza Lorena,
- "Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told" starring Edu Manzano and Aljur Abrenica,
- and "My Father, Myself" starring Jake Cuenca, Dimples Romana, and Sean de Guzman.
The parade will begn at 4 p.m. and take at least two hours and 30 minutes to complete its estimated 7.36 kilometer route; staging for the floats and the MMDA will be along E. Rodriguez Avenue to Banawe.
The planned route has already been inspected by the MMFF Parade Committee, the Quezon City local government, and concerned barangay officials.

The 2022 MMFF, the festival's 48th edition, will officially open in theaters nationwide from Christmas Day until January 7, 2023.
Alternate routes due to MMFF Parade of Stars
For vehicles headed toward EDSA/QMC:
- Vehicles traveling from España Boulevard should turn right at Blumentritt Road then left at Sto. Tomas Street or Matimyas Street, right Nicanor Ramirez., left at Cordillera St, right at E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, left at Tomas Morato, right at Timog Ave towards East Avenue to destination.
- Vehicles traveling from España Boulevard may also turn right at Nicanor Ramirez, go straight towards Cordillera St., right at E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave., left at Tomas Morato, right at Timog Ave towards East Avenue to destination.
For vehicles headed toward the Manila area:
- Vehicles traveling from Quezon Avenue tunnel up ramp should turn right at Biak na Bato, left at Dapitan Street, left at Lacson Avenue and right at España Boulevard to destination.
- Vehicles traveling from Quezon Avenue turn right at D Tuazon Street, then left at Sen. Mariano Cuenco to Piy Margal Street, left at Blumentritt Road, then right at España Boulevard to destination.
For vehicles headed toward Del Monte Avenue and Araneta Avenue:
- Vehicles traveling from España Boulevard should take a U-turn at Mabuhay Rotonda, then right at Blumentritt Road, then right at Piy Margal Street, then left to Mayon Street to their destination.
For vehicles headed toward E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, EDSA/QMC:
- Vehicles traveling from Mayon Street should turn right at Piy Margal Street, left at Blumentritt Rd. then left at Sto. Tomas Street or Matimyas Street, right at Nicanor Ramirez St., and straight towards Cordillera St. right at E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave., Left at Tomas Morato, right at Timog Ave towards East Avenue to destination.
