MANILA, Philippines – Bea Alonzo has learned a thing or two about love, relationships and marriage after she reprised her role as Basha in the film “A Second Chance.”

The film tells the story of Popoy (John Lloyd) and Basha, who were first seen in the 2007 movie "One More Chance," after they got married.

“Ang realization ko naman after this film is dapat kapag nagbigay ka ng pangako dapat kaya mo talagang panindigan. Kasi ‘yon ang panghahawakan, e,” she replied when asked what she learned from the film.

She clarified, however, that it may be a different thing when it comes to non-married couples since “kung hindi ka pa married mas malawak pa [‘yong options].”

Married life saw Popoy and Basha go through a rough time, but this didn’t affect Bea’s views on marriage.

“Hindi natakot [magpakasal], e, mas magiging maingat siguro ako,” she said.

Bea is in a relationship with Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo.

In the end, Bea thanked their fans who supported the film, which, as of December 2, has already earned more than P 330 million, according to its producer Star Cinema.

“We’re very, very happy na tinanggap siya agad ng tao ng ganito, and we’re very happy na hindi nagkamali ang lahat sa paggawa ng sequel na ito,” she concluded.
