MANILA, Philippines – Kapamilya stars led by Vice Ganda graced the annual Araneta Giant Christmas Tree Lighting event last Nov. 6. The iconic 100-ft. tall Christmas tree is located at the Gateway Food Park of Araneta Center.
The lighting of the giant Christmas tree, first installed 31 years ago by J. Amado Araneta, signaled the official start of the holiday season at Araneta Center. It’s a colorful reminder of love, joy and hope that the season brings.
Araneta Center’s other Yuletide activities are the Parolan Bazaar at Farmers Market; Season’s Bargains at Gateway Mall, Ali Mall and the New Farmers Plaza; and fireworks display every Friday and Saturday from Nov. 30 to Jan. 3.
Also present in the event were The Voice Philippines’ Jason Fernandez, Daryl Ong and Bradley Homes; Jerome Ponce; Sarah Lahbati; John Prats; Loisa Andalio and Joshua Garcia; The Voice Kids’ Lyca Gairanod and Darlene Vibares; reigning Binibining Pilipinas queens Ann Lorraine Colis (Tourism), Christi Lynn McGarry (Intercontinental), Pia Wurtzbach (Universe), Janicel Lubina (International), Rogelie Catacutan (Supranational); and the children from ChildHaus Foundation.
John Prats and DJ Chacha hosted the event.
