Alden Richards ‘Wish I May’ album hits gold record

Alden Richards’ “Wish I May” album is now a gold record even before it was officially launched.

MANILA, Philippines – Alden Richards’ “Wish I May” album is now a gold record.

On Saturday’s episode of “Eat Bulaga!” Philippine Association of the Record Industry Inc. handed the gold record award to Alden for outstanding achievement for digital sales of his latest album.

This seems to surprise the Kapuso actor since his album is yet to be launched this afternoon in SM North EDSA.

“Wow, wala na naman akong masabi,” said Alden after receiving the award. “Thank you po! Thank you po kasi actually hindi pa po lumalabas ‘yong album, e.”

“Thank you sa lahat, thank you Lord, sa lahat ng fans, sa family ko, sa Eat Bulaga! Thank you po, thank you so much. GMA Records, GMA Artist Center, thank you po,” he added.

The album contains a number of cover songs including the singles “Thinking Out Loud” and “God Gave Me You” which are often used in the “Kalye-serye.” It also has two original singles, “Wish I may” which is the carrier single and “Urong Sulong.”
