Animals go wild and strangers wed on Lifetime this Oct.

James Wolk plays American zoologist Jackson Oz in Zoo

MANILA, Philippines - Whether it’s reality TV — or a hyper-reality TV show — that keeps you glued to your seat, Lifetime has them all in two new compelling series.

First, what’s behind the gruesome animal attacks that have mysteriously taken over the planet? That’s what American zoologist Jackson Oz aims to find out in Zoo, a gripping series that premiered last Oct. 1.

Based on best-selling author James Patterson’s novel, the show offers endless twists and turns as Oz, together with LA news reporter Jamie Campbell, eccentric veterinarian Mitch Morgan and French investigator Chloe Tousignant, attempts to uncover the reason behind animals’ violent behavior before it’s too late. Last seen in Mad Men and The Crazy Ones, James Wolk plays the role of the renegade zoologist Oz.

Then, follow the lives of eight singles who agree to pair into four couples as part of a social experiment to see if they can learn to love a total stranger in Married at First Sight Australia on Oct. 26 at 9 p.m.

Coming off the success of the American version of the ground-breaking reality series (which was based on the Danish reality series of the same name), Married at First Sight Australia puts the stages of a relationship in reverse by having “couples” from the Land Down Under exchange I Do’s before they even know each other’s names. Clinical physiologist John Aiken, neuropsychotherapist Dr. Trisha Stratford and psychologist Sabina Read, who selected the singles from thousands of applicants, offer perspective and advice.

Lifetime is available on Cable Link Ch. 223, Destiny Cable Ch. 44 (analogue) Ch. 65 (digital), Dream Satellite TV Ch. 10, SKYCable SD Ch. 65 and HD Ch. 199 and other select provincial channels.
