MANILA Philippines — After the success of his morning series "Be Careful with My Heart" with Jodi Sta. Maria, Richard Yap is back to prime time programming in his upcoming series "Someone to Watch Over Me."
Richard launched his career with the prime time series "My Binondo Girl," where he starred opposite Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.
"Well, with Ms. Judy Ann by my side I don't think I should be worried," he replied when asked if he feels pressured with his new project after the success of his previous show.
He adds that more than pressure, he's more excited to work with Judy Ann.
"I heard so many good things about her," he said about his new leading lady. "So I'm looking forward to be working with her. Nine-nerbiyos din [ako] kasi siyempre it's a new project, we don't know how the viewers will take it with the story. We're hoping the viewers will like it."
Aside from his new project, many admired his new scruffy look. His fans were used to seeing him clean-shaven since his very first project with ABS-CBN. Yet it isn't sure if producers keep his current look when they start shooting the show.
"It's just while I was on vacation tinamad ako mag-shave," he confessed, laughing. "At saka nag-iba lang ako ng look kasi I've been shaving for the past few years. So parang ano lang, just a break from my very stiff image."
Also part of "Someone to Watch Over Me" are Eddie Garcia and Tirso Cruz III.
