Vic Sotto's secret to staying in showbiz: Learn to relax

Vic Sotto: It's loving what you're doing and kapag sinabi mong loving what you're doing, kasama na do'n 'yong enjoy ka. Joyce Jimenez

MANILA, Philippines - Vic Sotto said that aside from loving what you do, relaxing from time to time is the key to stay longer in the profession you choose.

“It's one thing that really keeps us going strong, it's loving what you're doing. Kapag sinabi mong loving what you're doing, kasama na do'n 'yong enjoy ka,” he said in an interview on Thursday at the launch of Citi Global, where he is the newest brand ambassador.

“Kung ang tingin mo sa ginagawa mo trabaho lang talaga, trabaho ng trabaho walang relaxation, iigsi ang buhay mo sa ginagawa mo, e. In other words kailangan mag-e-enjoy ka.”

One proof to this is the noontime show “Eat Bulaga!” which as been on air for 35 years now. Another is his current project, the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “My Big Bossing's Adventures.”

They were able to finish their taping over the weekend at Anilao, Batangas.

Sotto said he admires his co-star, Ryzza Mae Dizon, for her dedication to her work. He said the child star will prove in the film her talent for comedy and serious roles.

"I think she's proving herself of being a very good actress, hindi lang puro pa-cute,” he said.

Sotto's movie will go up against “Praybeyt Benjamin 2” starring Vice Ganda and Bimby.

Bimby and Ryzza Mae worked together the previous year in the MMFF entry “My Little Bossings.”

“Magkaiba naman sila ng genre, e,” he said. “So I don't think magkakaro'n ng conflict. Besides it's [My Big Bossing's Adventures] a sort of trilogy.”
