MANILA, Philippines - Veteran comedienne Tia Pusit, Myrna Villanueva in real life, died at the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City, late Thursday night. She was 66.
The comedienne died almost a month after undergoing a bypass operation at the hospital. She died at around 11:30.
A report by ABS-CBN News said tsht according to Tia Pusit's sister, Nova Villa, she was also suffering from kidney failure and aortic aneurysm. She underwent operation last September 9.
Tia Pusit became popular in her role in the ’80s sitcom “Eh Kasi Babae.”
Her last project was in TV5’s sitcom “Confessions of a Torpe” starring Ogie Alcasid, Gelli de Belen, and Alice Dixson.
