MANILA, Philippines – Although there is a spate of engagements and weddings in show business this year, celebrity couple Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati said they're not yet settling down soon.

During the press launch for the second season of their reality show “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez,” Richard and Sarah said they want to take their “sweet time” and enjoy their son baby Zion first before getting married.

“We don't want to just dive into it because people are pressuring us to do it already,” Richard told members of the press on Monday, September 15. “We just want to take our sweet time and enjoy our time with baby Zion.”

The actor added they want to enjoy their “smooth sailing relationship” this year after a rough 2013.

It can be remembered that Sarah faced legal battles with home network GMA-7 last year. The conflict has since been settled.

Asked if their wedding would come before another baby, Richard said: As of now, kami ni Sarah, we're happy where we are right now. We're both working. Working parents kami.”

He added, “This year has been smooth for us. We're enjoying every minute of it.”

“So let's see kung ano ang mauuna next year,” Richard quipped.

But Richard did admit he and Sarah are already talking about marriage; they simply don't "want to rush."

"We're planning things, we're discussing things. We don't want to rush. Gusto namin lahat pulido. Wait and see na lang tayo," he explained

Meanwhile, Sarah said: “Right now, we're just very happy.”

She added, “We're taking it one step at a time and we're trying to focus on Zion. He's growing up so fast so we're taking it one step at a time.”

Richard and his entire family—including parents Annabelle Rama and Eddie Gutierrez and siblings Ruffa and Raymond Gutierrez—will return on cable channel E! for the second season of “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez.”

For this season, Sarah will be part of the show's main cast, along with Richard's brother Elvis and his girlfriend Alexandra Uichico. The second season of “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez” will have 10 episodes.

Richard and Sarah admitted they have a son on the pilot episode of their reality show. For the show's second season, the family is planning to top their buzz-worthy season one revelation.

“To be honest, I think that was the biggest revelation of the year for the whole family,” Richard said. “But I think for season two, mas makikilala pa nila ng husto ang Gutierrez family.”

“It's more of a close-up of our lives, of our daily lives, on what's really going on at home... Talagang mas makikilala kami ng tao at makikita nila kung sino ba kami talaga,” Sarah said.

Sarah said she has “adjusted” to being part of the Gutierrez. “But every one and then, masho-shock ka na lang sa mga sasabihin nina Tita (Annabelle) and Tito (Eddie).”

“But it's always fun and it's a blessing na nakilala ko sila. Ang kulay ng buhay nila and excited ako sa future adventures namin together as a whole big family,” she added.

(The second season of “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez” premieres Sunday, October 5 on cable channel E!, which airs on channel 57 on Sky Cable and Destiny Digital, channel 25 for Cignal, and channel 33 on Cable Link)
