MANILA, Philippines – Commuters tilted a 90-ton train to free a man whose leg was trapped between a carriage and a platform. Now this is what we call "people power.”
The man was boarding a train on a morning rush hour when he slipped and had his leg wedged between a carriage and the platform on a train station last week on Perth, Australia. The commuters who were then riding the carriage got off the train, lined up, and worked together to tilt the carriage away from the man so he could be lifted out. After less than 30 minutes, the man was finally lifted out and lucky for him he only suffered a minor injury and managed to hop on the next train to his destination.
This is a great example of individual efforts coming together to form a whole group that works with unity.
