MANILA, Philippines - Put on your wizard hat and pour a glass of beer, because today we celebrate a double birthday, J.K. Rowling’s and Harry Potter's.

The famous fictional wizard is turning 34 today. The character Harry Potter was played by Daniel Radcliffe who also turned 25 last July 23. Although the dearly loved series officially ended, for the Harry Potter fans, the story will live on their shelves hearts forever.

Because of the popularity of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling is the first person to become a billionaire (U.S. dollars) by writing books.

In celebration of Harry Potter’s birthday, here are some of the most interesting facts about the characters, the book, and the movie:

The oldest actress to ever play the role of a Hogwarts student is “Moaning Myrtle,” who was 37 years old at the “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.”
