MANILA, Philippines - Erich Gonzales (photo) is not only a dedicated actress but also a hands-on entrepreneur. Last year, she opened her restaurant called The Breakfast Club that serves breakfast dishes all day.
In My Puhunan today at 4 p.m., broadcast journalist Karen Davila shows the restaurant of Erich, who will share what she’s learned from venturing into the food business and tips for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Karen also details how 75-year-old entrepreneur Leticia Uy started over and became a multi-millionaire after her first bakeshop was razed by a fire.
Letty only finished grade four, but when she was 19, she learned how to bake and immediately started selling pilipit, a twisted native pastry. Her perseverance eventually led to business success when she started her first bakeshop, which was later ravaged by a fire.
Unfazed by the accident, Letty made a fresh start by selling pastries. Using her savings, she put up NE Quality Bakeshop in the ’70s. Now, Letty owns three malls and different restaurants, one of which is located in California, USA.
My Puhunan airs Wednesdays on ABS-CBN.
