MANILA, Philippines – After being away from the country and show business for a year, Sarah Lahbati returns with “peace of mind†and a renewed interest in acting.
The actress left the Philippines for Switzerland after a falling out with home network GMA-7 last year. Sarah accused Kapuso network executive Annette Gozon-Abrogar of “under the table†dealings with a talent agency. However, the two have reconciled last March.
As her first project since her return to show business, Sarah is doing made-for-TV movie for TV5 titled “More Than Words,†the Kapatid Network's Mother's Day special, with Alice Dixson and fellow Kapuso talent Carl Guevara.
The TV movie, however, is just a one-off project; Sarah remains to be a talent of the Kapuso network.
“It feels nice, I missed this. Masaya dahil I'm working, I'm acting again. It feels good,†she told members of the press, including Philstar.com, at the set of “More Than Words†on Monday, April 14.
Sarah added, “It feels good na I have peace of mind. But also, I keep in mind na hindi naman mawawala ang problema, hindi naman mawawala ang intriga. Kailangan lang kayanin ang mag-move on agad.â€

What has she learned from her ordeal last year? “That I don't want to go through it again,†Sarah quipped, adding that she has no regrets from what happened.
Sarah said she is not entertaining fears or negative thoughts as she makes a comeback in show business. “Pag naiisip ko na ang dami kong naging kaibigan dito, marami na akong kakilala na close sa puso ko, hindi na pumapasok sa isip ko yung ma negative thoughts,†she said.
She also ignored the issues that come with being an actress. Sarah has faced intrigues concerning her rift with Abrogar and her relationship with boyfriend Richard Gutierrez, but says “I don't care about the controversies or what they throw at me. I just don't mind it.â€
“More Than Words†will air on May 11, Sunday on TV5.
