MANILA, Philippines - Tanauan City, Batangas will hold its first-ever Parade of Lights tomorrow, March 8 at 6 p.m. It is a spectacular presentation of colorful floats representing the different sectors and barangays of the growing tourist destination.
The event, organized by former Tanauan City Rotary president and now honorable city Mayor Tony Halili, is in cooperation with the Sports Development Council under the leadership of former Tanauan City Rotary Club District Gov. Tato Dimayuga.
Twenty-six well-lighted floats will vie in this year’s exhibition-cum-competition to be judged by some celebrities like Melanie Marquez, Patrick Garcia, Jobert Sucaldito and Dr. Vicki Belo. Amazing prizes await the winners in this year’s First Tanauan City Parade of Lights.
“The Parade of Lights will be one of the city’s highlights every year to showcase the ingenuity and brilliance of our constituents,†says Mayor Halili.
