MANILA, Philippines - Guests and patrons of Casino Filipino venues nationwide can look forward to a month of love, laughter and music this month in special shows featuring some of the country’s top balladeers and performers.
Bong Quintana, AVP of PAGCOR’s Entertainment Department, said Casino Filipino offers a love-filled month for its guests and visitors.
Dubbed the Carnival of Hearts, the February entertainment events at Casino Filipino will be launched on Feb. 5 in different branches and satellites nationwide. Featured artists include Marco Sison (Parañaque); Gino Padilla (Lancaster Satellite, Mandaluyong City); Richard Reynoso (Pavilion); Victor Wood (Amigo Satellite, Iloilo City); Jojo Alejar (Hyatt); and Keanna Reeves (Angeles).
Gino Padilla expressed his gladness that PAGCOR continues to support both seasoned and aspiring artists. “As a performer and recording artist from the ’80s, I would like to thank PAGCOR for giving us a chance to showcase our talents. We appreciate PAGCOR’s support through the years because we still enjoy performing in front of an audience who can still relate to our kind of music,†Gino said.
Besides the nationwide staging of simultaneous entertainment shows on Feb. 5, Casino Filipino will also showcase OPM personalities on Feb. 7. Other artists include Rannie Raymundo (Cebu); Richard Reynoso (Davao); Louie Heredia (Ronquillo Satellite, Manila); and Chad Borja (Tagaytay). All shows are on free admission and on a first-come, first-served basis. The performances will start at 8 p.m.
As for Casino Filipino’s celebrity show segment, Sitti and Nyoy Volante will go on a concert tour in selected Casino branches nationwide.
Sitti’s performances will be at the Mimosa Satellite (Feb. 7), Pavilion (Feb. 20), Olongapo (Feb. 27) and Casino Filipino Parañaque (Feb. 28).
On the other hand, Nyoy will entertain guests at the L’ Fisher Hotel Bacolod (Feb. 14), Davao (Feb. 15), Cebu (Feb. 16), Hyatt (Feb. 20) and Tagaytay (Feb. 21).
Apart from the concert tours, Casino Filipino will also showcase comedy shows and bands this month.
Bingo VIPs who will participate in the quarterly celebrity show dubbed The Love Game, will be entertained by Eva Eugenio and Renz Verano in Pavilion (Feb. 8) and Casino Filipino Parañaque (Feb. 14); Tina Paner and Ramon Christopher in Mactan Satellite (Feb. 12) and 365 Plaza Satellite-San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte (Feb. 28); and Hansen Nichols with Liezel Garcia in Amigo Satellite, Iloilo City (Feb. 15) and Angeles (Feb. 19).
Other performers at Casino Filipino are Aicelle Santos at L’ Fisher Hotel Bacolod, Feb. 8; Binondo Satellite Manila, Feb. 14; and Mactan Satellite, Feb. 22; Jimmy Bondoc (Lancaster Satellite, Feb. 14); Kris Lawrence (365 Plaza Satellite-San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Feb. 14); Agot Isidro (Pavilion, Feb. 14 and Parañaque, Feb. 22); Luke Mejares (Ronquillo Satellite, Feb. 15); Moonstar 88 Band (Tagaytay, Feb. 15); Denise Laurel (Madison Satellite, Feb. 21); and Callalily (Olongapo, Feb. 26).
Meantime, the fun-filled Casino Filipino Game Show will feature Liezel Garcia (Parañaque, today); Jessa Zaragoza (Olongapo, Feb. 7); Isabel Granada (Tagaytay, Feb. 8); Carlos Agassi (Angeles, Feb. 12); Hansen Nichols with D&G Dancers (Hyatt, Feb. 13); Frenchie Dy (Davao, Feb. 14); Markki Stroem (Cebu, Feb. 15); Andrea del Rosario (L’ Fisher Hotel Bacolod, Feb. 21); and Bugoy Drilon (Pavilion, Feb. 28).
Casino Filipino’s homegrown talents including the Not Your Ordinary Boys and Girls (NYOBG) show and Krazy Chikz (composed of Miss Casino Filipino winners) will also have a series of shows on Feb. 6 (Hyatt); Feb. 14 (Angeles); Feb. 15 (Airport Casino Filipino); Feb. 21 (Pavilion) and Feb. 22 (Olongapo).
Fashion shows showcasing the masterpieces of designers Gerry Katigbak and Arielle Agasang, are set on Feb. 7 (Pavilion); Feb. 8 (Parañaque); Feb. 14 (Olongapo); and Feb. 21 (Mimosa Satellite).
