MANILA, Philippines - Technology is a big part of our lives today, even for kids like Andrea Brillantes, 10, and Kyle Adrian Palacios, 13.
That is why they were chosen by Polaroid to be the endorsers of their latest product, the Kids Tablet, which was officially launched Saturday, Sept. 21.
One of the pre-installed applications in the gadget is the Annaliza Cookbook, which was inspired from Andrea’s character in ABS-CBN’s afternoon drama series Annaliza.
During the interview, Andrea and Kyle related how such gadgets are useful in their everyday lives.
For Andrea, this serves as her past time when she’s on the taping of her afternoon show.
“Mahalaga po ‘to kasi nakakapag-games ako, nakakapag-Internet ako, nakakapag-YouTube ako, at nakakapag-search ako. Tapos kapag wala ako magawa naglalaro na lang ako.â€
Andrea said she also uses this for her studies when she brings in the set her homework because there’s no time to finish it at home.
Meanwhile, Kyle turns to such gadgets to look for new recipes he could try.
“It’s very handy so if you need to research something very quickly, and it’s very easy to access. You don’t need to explore pages, it’s very easy to access.â€
Another feature that Kyle liked about the brand’s latest product is the “parental lock.â€
“’Yung minsan po kasi kapag naglalaro, nagpupuyat tapos hindi makaka-focus sa school. “Pero kapag ganito po na may lock po siya, it teaches us to have a certain amount of time for playing, when we should study and do other activities,†he explained.
Since every kid nowadays wants to own different kinds of gadgets, what would be their advice when it comes to its usage?
Kyle tells kids that these gadgets should be used not only for games, but also for education.
While Andrea reminds kids her age that, “dapat inuuna nila ‘yong pag-aaral nila bago maglaro. Dapat para tatangkad pa sila, ‘wag sila magsasayang ng oras sa paglalaro.â€
