FLASHBACK: A decade ago, a little girl with a big heart and a remarkable voice shot to fame after winning the popular talent show, Star For A Night.
Her name: Sarah Geronimo.
Today, that young girl has blossomed into one of the country’s most versatile and highly successful artists. Sarah is not only a recording star; she is a multi-awarded movie and TV actress as well.
But wait, there’s more. Sarah shines as a concert performer, and her shows have time and again packed such celebrated venues as the Araneta Coliseum.
To celebrate her 10th year in show business, Sarah is returning to the Big Dome on Nov. 15 for what promises to be the mother of all concerts. The show is titled Perfect 10, and Sarah said it’s going to be bigger than her most successful concert to date, 24/SG. (Tickets to Perfect 10 will start selling on Aug. 27 on Ticketnet and at Viva Concerts.)
Sarah has just returned from a four-city concert tour in Australia. She opened the tour on Aug. 10 at the Evan Theatre in Sydney. The following day, she performed at St. Laurence College in Brisbane. On Aug. 16, Sarah was in Woodville Townhall in Adelaide, and her final stop was on the Dallas Brooks Centre in Melbourne the following day. All the venues were sold out. Recently, Sarah broke new grounds, producing an album for Viva Records titled Expressions, with most of the 11 tracks original and some written by Sarah herself, including Again, Pati ang Pangarap Ko, Ikot-Ikot, Tayo, Maaari Ba, Eyes on Fire, Sweetest Mistake, Mama, You’ve Got A Friend (featuring Delfin Geronimo)
, Make Me Yours and It Takes A Man and A Woman (bonus track).
