MANILA, Philippines - TV5 introduces another first as it premieres Filipino independent movies on TV via Sine Ko 5ingko: Indie ’To.
Tonight at 9, Mel Chionglo’s drama-thriller Bente will air, featuring Richard Gomez, Iza Calzado and Jinggoy Estrada.
On June 15, Paolo Contis plays a Swiss-trained culinary chef who takes on the challenge of cooking a good lechon and facing the drama of his family in Litsonero.
Premiering on June 22 will be Manila, a twinbill that pays tribute to two of the most influential directors in Philippine cinema — Lino Brocka and Ishmael Bernal. Piolo Pascual will star together with Rosanna Roces, Jay Manalo and Alessandra de Rossi.
Rounding up the films on June 29 is the Joel Lamangan-helmed film, Fuschia, which stars Gloria Romero, Armida Siguion-Reyna, Robert Arevalo and Eddie Garcia.
