A toast to 21 years of Star Power

MANILA, Philippines - Star Magic once again proved to be the premier star maker as the talent management celebrated its 21st anniversary last May 26 on ASAP 18.

The celebration began with the medley of songs led by ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of maestro Gerard Salonga. The occasion was powered by the voices of Star Magic singers, Yeng Constantino, Angeline Quinto, Jed Madela, Richard Poon, Jovit Baldivino, Nyoy Volante, Liezel Garcia, Bugoy Drilon, Marcelito Pomoy, KZ Tandingan, Zia Quizon, Erik Santos and Vina Morales.

Accompanied by an upbeat performance by Bryan Termulo, Alex Castro and Markki Stroem, the annual parade of stars kicked off with the newest faces of Star Magic Circle 2013’s Ingrid dela Paz, Janella Salvador, Michelle Vito, Jon Lucas, Jerome Ponce, Alexander Diaz, Liza Soberano, Julia Barretto, Jane Oineza and Kit Thompson. The fashion show continued with Wendy Tabusalla, Carlo Romero, Denise Joaquin, Alec Robes, Linn Oeymo, Miko Raval, Dominic Roque, Ella Cruz and Paul Salas. Top comedians Ryan Bang, Melai Cantiveros, Bentong, John “Sweet” Lapus, Chokoleit and Pokwang strut their stuff on the runway followed by child wonders Bugoy Cariño, Andrea Brillantes, Izzy Canillo, Zaijian Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat. Then came a number of the most notable stars to ever join the roster of Star Magic talents filling the ASAP stage with immense star power of Arron Villaflor, Jason Abalos, Matt Evans, Robi Domingo, Coleen Garcia, Sam Concepcion, Joseph Marco, Martin del Rosario, Khalil Ramos, Empress Schuck, Rayver Cruz, Melissa Ricks, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Nikki Valdez, Kaye Abad, Desiree del Valle, Carlo Aquino, Dominic Ochoa, Zanjoe Marudo, Maricar Reyes, Paulo Avelino, Julia Barretto, Enchong Dee, Ejay Falcon, Alex Gonzaga, Enrique Gil, Jessy Mendiola, Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Maja Salvador, Shaina Magdayao, Erich Gonzales, Sam Milby, Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca, Angelica Panganiban, Bea Alonzo, Diether Ocampo, John Lloyd Cruz and Piolo Pascual.

To make the celebration even more special, Star Magic in collaboration with Star Cinema created a six-minute video, paying homage to classic films and unforgettable scenes from movies such as Bata, Bata, Paano Ka Ginawa, Anak, Soltera, Milan, Don’t Give Up On Us, One More Chance, Paano Na Kaya, One More Try, The Mistress and It Takes A Man and A Woman. Directed by Johnny Manahan, the movie spoofs that featured Pokwang, Sweet Lapus, Chokoleit, Carlo Aquino, Liza Soberano, Julia Barretto, Andrea Brillantes, Alex Gonzaga, Gerald Anderson, Angelica Panganiban, John Lloyd Cruz and Piolo Pascual gained 250,000 views online via abs-cbn news YouTube account. Star Magic 21st anniversary also landed second trending topic on Twitter.
