MANILA, Philippines - A National Seminar-Workshop in History & Culture with a theme Remembering the Past: Embracing History and Culture Towards Effective Leadership and Sustainable Development will be held at Wesleyan University-Philippines tomorrow, Feb. 14, until Feb. 16.
Randolph David, the renowned sociologist and council of adviser of the Philippine Rural and Reconstruction Movement, will grace the event. Top ranking experts in the field of politics, history and education like Reynald Trillana, executive director of Philippine Center for Civic Education; Prof. Jonathan Balsamo, secretary of Philippine Historical Association; Dr. Luis Dery, president of Philippine Historical Association; and Dr. Dante Parungao, assistant Schools Division Superintendent, DepEd Region III will also take part in the seminar-workshop.
The said seminar-workshop aims to expose the participants to the rich history and culture of the country. It also aspires to inculcate understanding on the importance of history towards effective academic instruction, youth development, citizen awareness, leadership and sustainable development.
