MANILA, Philippines - Elaine Kay Moll, a 20-year-old model and student athlete who towers at 5’11,” is now feeling on top of the world for being the first Filipina to place in the Miss Supranational pageant.
Kay finished third runner-up among a field of more than 50 candidates during the pageant finals held in Warsaw, Poland. Miss Belarus, Katsyariana Buraya, was crowned Miss Supranational.
In a statement, the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. lauded Kay’s win.

BPCI chairperson, Madame Stella Marquez Araneta, said that “Elaine Kay Moll’s remarkable showing at the Miss Supranational 2012 further enhances the standing of the Philippines as a force to contend with in the global pageant circuit.”
Last Friday was the fourth staging of the Miss Supranational pageant. It was founded in 2009 in Poland by the World Beauty Association, with the aim to “unite our world with beauty.”
Like her Binibini idols, Miss Universe 1999 first runner-up Miriam Quiambao, Miss Universe 2010 fourth runner-up Venus Raj and Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup, Elaine is happy to give honor to the Philippines. “It has always been my dream to represent our country. I really worked hard for this, endured very strenuous trainings and cold weather in Poland, but I am glad that I was able to bring home honor to the Filipinos.”
Meanwhile, another beauty, 2012 Bb. Pilipnas-International Nicole Schmitz, is in the last phase of her preparations and is set to fly out soon for the Miss International 2012 pageant which will be held on Oct. 21 in Okinawa, Japan.
