Marco & Precious: Answered prayer

Marco Alcaraz and Precious Lara Quigaman are getting married in a Christian ceremony on Sunday, July 8, at Hacienda Isabella (owned by Kuh Ledesma) in Indang, Cavite.

With those words, Marco Alcaraz and Precious Lara Quigaman will tie the knot for better or for worse, ‘till death do them part, at a Christian wedding on Sunday, July 8, 4 p.m. at Hacienda Isabella (owned by Kuh Ledesma) in Indang, Cavite. The reception will be held in the same venue.

Printed at the back of the invitation is this: Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

Marco and Precious are two right people who met (and matched) at the right time and at the right place. She was having a personal problem and when Marco came into her life, he turned out to be the solution.

It was Valerie Concepcion, one of the bridesmaids, who introduced the sweethearts to each other three years ago. It wasn’t love at first sight; they simply clicked. Soon, they became an item.

Precious will wear a gown designed by Veejay Floresca.

Said Marco, “I want only the best for Precious; I want to shout to the whole world that I love her so much. I want to give her the wedding that she wants. It doesn’t have to be grand basta ang importante sa amin makasama namin ang family and close friends namin.”

Originally set for October, the wedding was moved to an earlier date to accommodate Precious’ relatives who are here vacationing from abroad.

It’s Precious who’s taking care of the details. She has been in the business of wedding planning for five years with her best friends Ivy Kristin Reyes and Rowell Octavio (also her talent manager), with the help of her own events planning team under Supernatural Management and well-trusted suppliers.

Vintage-Travel is the wedding theme.

“It is something that reflects their personalities,” said Kristin. “They want a wedding that is classic, elegant and simple. They want to create a romantic mood that’s between casual and formal. The color motif is very feminine — light lavender, powder and blush pink.”

Marco will wear a suit by Randy Ortiz.

The couple shared their wedding teaser video-style to their followers, which was uploaded by their videographer IGScinema last week on Twitter. It ended with a question, “Whose prayer will be answered?”

Said Precious, the country’s fourth Miss International (2005), “God really does answer prayers and more often than not He gives us more than what we ask of Him. He gave me not a ‘good man’ but the ‘best and perfect man’ for me.”

Award-winner Veejay Floresca designed Precious’ bridal gown using very special materials with imported corded lace from his recent trip to San Francisco. The skirt is made of 100 yards of bias cut silk organza with a surprise element that is “something to watch for.”

“Working with Precious is both challenging and fulfilling at the same time because she is a public figure and all eyes will be on her,” said Veejay. “The gown has to be worthy of her beauty title.”

Marco is the son of Benigno and Wilma Cristina Alcaraz and Precious is the daughter of Nelson (deceased) and Princesita Quigaman.

To officiate at the wedding is the couple’s close friend/pastor, John Vidal Gay, from Without Walls Ministries.
