MANILA, Philippines - Because her birthday fell on Maundy Thursday (April 9), Sheryl Cruz decided to celebrate it five days (on April 4) in advance with a lunch at Paparazzi of EDSA Shangri-La Hotel. ‘The lunch started at 12 noon and ended at 5 p.m.,’ said Bing Manalo of GMA (below). Among the other well-wishers were Sheryl’s best friend lawyer Faye Singson, Sheryl’s Kuya Wowee (Renzo) Cruz, her cousins Joseph and Jeffrey Sonora, and her loyal stylist Leony Diaz. ‘The hotel’s chef Roberto was so kind,’ added Bing. ‘He gave us complimentary five different gelato variations. Everyone had fun.’
