50 things to do in 2012

This ‘John Lennon’ message was sent to Funfare by Lilie Lazaro-Gigante, publicity specialist, Ntews & Public Affairs Corporate Communications, GMA Network. Nice, isn’t it?

Here’s Funfare’s annual “50 things to do” in the New Year:

Learn to forgive.

If you haven’t yet, watch any or all of the Metrofest entries.

Cut down on carbs and fats.

Take 10,000 steps per day.

Let Vivian Sarabia check your eyes.

Text a friend in a faraway land.

Say “I love you” to your loved ones.

Treat your family to lunch or dinner at Little Asia.

Love thy neighbor.

 Don’t talk to strangers.

Treat household help nicely.

Meditate at the St. Joseph Adoration Chapel with the Pink Sisters.

 Unload excess baggage.

 Release negative feelings.

 Try the calamansi cleansing.

 Visit House of Obagi.

Attend healing Masses of Fr. Joey Faller and Fr. Fernando Suarez.

 Keep watching Startalk Saturday afternoons.

Treat your friends to lunch at Happy Ongpauco’s Pamana resto in Tagaytay.

Fix the leak in your roof.

Want a lipo? See Dr. Vicki Belo.

 Spend a weekend in Bohol.

Eat ground corn instead of rice.

Diabetic? Exercise and eat lots of ampalaya.

Avoid using your celfone in public (the guy next to you may be a snatcher).

Smile and say “Hi!” to somebody who envies you (and it will torture him all the more!).

Give food, not money, to kid beggars.

Donate to funds for Sendong victims.

Don’t patronize an acupuncture doctor who is cranky and doesn’t smile (it’s you, it’s you!!!).

Let gossip enter one ear and out the other ear.

 Have an executive check-up.

 Observe the color-coding.

Read Joan Didion’s new book Blue Nights.

 Be vigilant; report a crime.

Be kind to animals; save a stray cat.

Stop smoking. The life you save may be your own.

Don’t forget to hear Sunday Mass.

Pray at the Padre Pio Shrine in Libis, Quezon City.

 Drive carefully.

Sing in the bathroom (never mind if you’re off-key). Good for the lungs.

Don’t dwell in the past; move on!

Fill your diet with veggies and fruits.

Be a domestic tourist; love your own.

Be true; don’t betray a friend.

Need new clothes? Check out Bench outlets in the malls.

If you bump into Piolo Pascual, tell him, “Nobody can put a good man down.”

Watch Mamma Mia (opening end of January 2012 at the CCP).

Want to see Pokwang cry? Watch A Mother’s Story, her first drama vehicle, showing second week of January 2012.

 Read The Bible.
