MANILA, Philippines - Cinema One proudly presents the 7th Cinema One Originals Film Festival with a highly-anticipated opening ceremony and gala premiere today at 3 p.m., at the EDSA Shangri-La Mall Cineplex.
“Brave, bold and original” is this year’s definition of the roster of movie entries. The talents are also a mix of flag bearers and an emerging new breed.
Chosen through careful deliberation from hundreds of entries, the 10 finalists possess liberatingly out-of-the-box storytelling. They have the potential to make names for its filmmakers, directors, writers and actors through the local and even international arena.
At the opening ceremonies, gala premieres of the first three films will be held — Mes de Guzman’s Sa Kanto Ng Ulap at 4:45 p.m., Dennis Marasigan’s Anatomiya ng Korupsiyon at 7 p.m. and Brandon Relucio and Ivan Zaldarriaga’s Di Ingon ‘Nato [Not Like Us] at 9:30 p.m.
