GMA dominates early primetime

MANILA, Philippines - GMA Network’s 24 ORAS continues to dominate early primetime based on Jan. 1 to Feb. 20 (Feb. 13-20 based on overnight ratings) Total Urban Luzon and Total Mega Manila household ratings data from Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.  

Hosted by Mel Tiangco and Mike Enriquez, 24 ORAS posted a 34.1 percent average audience share in Total Urban Luzon, clearly topping TV Patrol’s 31.4 percent and Willing Willie’s 23.1 percent.

24 ORAS posted an even bigger lead in Total Mega Manila. During the same period, 24 Oras led with 36.6 percent audience share, trouncing TV Patrol’s 29.7 percent and Willing Willie’s 24 percent. 

SAKSI anchored by Arnold Clavio and Vicky Morales remains the leading late-night newscast.

Total Urban Luzon ratings data show SAKSI leading the competition with its 41.4 percent audience share. ABS-CBN’s SNN got 25.9 percent while TV5’s Journalismo posted 12 percent. Total Mega Manila ratings data show the same trend — SAKSI’s 42.3 percent audience share winning over SNN’s 25.7 percent and Journalismo’s 12 percent.

GMA News extends its dominance up to the weekends with 24 ORAS WEEKEND anchored by Jiggy Manicad and Pia Arcangel. In Total Urban Luzon, 24 ORAS WEEKEND led with 30.4 percent audience share compared to ABS-CBN’s Wansapanataym’s 24 percent and TV Patrol Weekend’s 26.9 percent and TV5’s LOL’s 20.5 percent and Pidol’s Wonderland’s 18.1 percent.
