MANILA, Philippines - Studies indicate that the one quality all successful people have is persistence. They’re willing to spend more time accomplishing a task and persevere in the face of many difficult odds. There’s a very positive relationship between people’s ability to accomplish any task and the time they’re willing to spend on it. On his first Commemorative Album — Ready Or Not, Young JV Kapunan (photo), brings out the best from hip-hop music with his all-original composition, including his latest revision , Lipad Noypi, Lipad Noynoy. His songs are mostly inspired by success stories of people who believed what they have accomplished is a better proof of what they can do.
Young JV’s songs carry sentiments of nationalism and reconciliation, a legacy handed down by the unforeseen turn of events some 24 years ago when his father, Ret. Col. Eduardo “Red” Kapunan Jr., member of then Reform the Armed Forces Movement ( RAM), rallied behind President Cory Aquino in securing a peaceful transition of power against a dictator and the restoration of democracy in the country.
On his first crack at voting, Young JV chose Noynoy Aquino as his President in last May’s elections. Young JV sang for him in his rallies . These songs of hope, peace, love and harmony run parallel to the idealism his father showed in the mid-‘80s.
The resemblance in both the Kapunan and the Aquino families stems from a strong bond of character which make them promote unity among the Filipino community and love for country.
Ready Or Not is not just a musical piece. It carries Young JV’s passion to reach out to the orphans of soldiers who died defending the integrity of this country.
Young JV’s Commemorative Album- Ready Or Not, produced by Doing It Big Production and distributed by Poly East Records is out in the market featuring his latest single, the revised Lipad Noypi, Lipad Noynoy.
