Born in Tasmania, Australia and educated in India, Miss Oberon is the daughter of a British army officer, and according to an unauthorized biography, a Hindu woman she introduced as a maid. She was signed up by producer Alexander Korda who became her first husband, in the late ’50s, Miss Oberon married Italian business magnate Bruno Pagliaii. As Mrs. Pagliaii, Miss Oberon became the toast of the high society and fashion world of Europe, consistently included on the list of the best dressed women of the world.
