MANILA, Philippines - Julius Babao goes on board DZMM Radyo Patrol Sais Trenta and DZMM TeleRadyo every 12 noon starting today to bring you the day’s most important news stories as they are happening at noontime on Radyo Patrol Balita Alas Dose.
“Julius is the perfect choice to anchor our newscast given his solid experience in newsgathering and investigative reporting. He will be able to make sense of what is happening as events are shaping and stories are unfolding in the middle of the day,” said Marah Faner Capuyan, station manager of DZMM.
Julius, who was Best Male Newscaster at the recent Star Awards for TV, will now be heard on DZMM seven days a week with his new assignment. He joins his wife Tintin Bersola on Magandang Mornings with Julius and Tintin every Saturday and anchors Radyo Patrol Balita Weekend every Sunday.
Apart from Julius, other broadcast journalists are also bringing additional excitement to the jampacked DZMM program line-up. Pinky Webb now co-anchors Tambalang Failon at Sanchez with Ted Failon on weekdays at 8:30 a.m. to examine the most important issues facing the country today. More and more viewers and listeners are also enjoying the duo’s inimitable chemistry.
News reporter Lynda Jumilla joins Alvin Elchico and lawyer Danny Concepcion to attend to callers and answer different legal queries sent by text and e-mails on Usapang De Campanilla nightly after TV Patrol World. The show gives free legal advice to listeners in need of assistance.
Former Star Patroller Niña Corpus also takes on a new assignment nightly at 9:30 on the health-oriented interactive talk show Magandang Gabi, Dok. She also anchors Para Sa’yo Bayan with Vice President Noli “Kabayan” de Castro where they discuss issues like government policies, education, and overseas employment every Saturday at 8 a.m.
Also to look forward to are the tandems of news reporter Jing Castañeda and Henry Omaga-Diaz on Pasada Sais Trenta Sabado every Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and radio commentator Ricky Rosales and Jun Lincgoren on Radyo Patrol Balita Linggo every Sunday at 12 noon.
