Kris Allen's solo album

MANILA, Philippines - American Idol Season 8 winner Kris Allen (photo) has now a solo album.

Allen, whose humility and sincere performances won him the title, came out with his self-titled debut album. It has the carrier single Live Like We’re Dying, written by Irish band The Script and Heartless, one of the songs he performed in American Idol. Producers include Saalam Remi (Amy Winehouse, Nas. Leona Lewis), Steve Kipner (Christina Aquilera, David Archuleta), Andrew Frampton (Kylie Minogue, Natasha Bedingfield) and Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Fergie, Jordin Sparks).

His victory song No Boundaries went to #11 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles chart earlier this year. On the eighth season of American Idol, the 23-year-old Arkansas native, a pianist and self-taught guitar player, achieved popularity and enthusiastic reviews from viewers and critics alike.

With his out-of-this-world vocal range and unique musical style, Lambert is the ultra-glam, rock superstar that has America hooked. His debut album For Your Entertainment has contributions from Lady Gaga, P!nk, Muse, Justin Hawkins formerly of The Darkness and Rivers Cuomo of Weezer.

First single For Your Entertainment is written by Claude Kelly (Circus by Britney Spears) and Dr. Luke (I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry and Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne, Right Round by Flo Rida, along with multiple singles by Kelly Clarkson) and produced by Dr. Luke.
