MANILA, Philippines - Our Lady of Mount Carmel Shrine Parish, New Manila, Quezon City, presents a Valentine concert billed Moments, A Recollection of Love tomorrow, Feb. 12, 8 p.m. at the parish’s Mark Horan Hall.
The concert is topbilled by 15-year-old Aliw Hall of Fame awardee Miguel Aguila (photo) with featured artists Tricia Amper Jimenez, Kris Gonzales, Paolo Bellosillo and the Four Seasons.
Under the initiative of Fr. Arnold Boehme, superior of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Shrine Parish; Paolo, youth director of Knights of Columbus; and directed by Dindo Cabazor, Moments is for the benefit of the Foundation for the Carmelite Scholastics (CARE Fund) and for the Knights of Columbus, 3695 Capitol Council.
Miguel started as a child singer-actor and endorser of Garfield. He has played major roles in several musical theaters, films and on TV. He is the youngest member of the classical pop-quartet Angelos who recently returned from their concert in key cities in Asia, Vancouver, and the US where he was featured as guest artist in Stephen Bishop’s concert.
In Las Vegas, Miguel jammed with Lani Misalucha and pianist David Osborne at Bellagio Hotel to a standing ovation. Recently, he played young Jesus in the new musical Song of Joseph.
Miguel was tutored by Fides Cuyugan Asencio and National Artist Cecile Guidote Alvarez at Balintataw Film & Theater Arts of the UNESCO Philippine Center for International Theater Institute and has performed in Alvarez’s PTV 4’s Sining Gising, Malacañang Palace, Cultural Center of the Philippines and the US Embassy in which he sang the Philippine National Anthem upon the invitation of then Ambassador Kristie Kenny.
He is junior ambassador of Haribon Foundation and Warner Music’s youngest recording artist.
