MANILA, Philippines - Patricia Muñoz, a fully credentialed special education teacher in California and directress of Protégé SPED Center, will conduct the following SPED seminars: Implementing an Effective Inclusion Program for Children with Special Needs on Dec. 30; Utilizing Instructional and Curricular Modifications for Special Needs Students in an Inclusion Program, Jan. 3, 2010; How to Cope When Your Child or Student is Special, Jan. 10; Preparing an Effective Individualized Education Plan (IEP), a Vital Tool in the SPED Program, Jan. 17; and Techniques to Become Effective Educators & Parents to Children with Special Needs, Jan. 14. Seminar hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration starts at 8 a.m. Classes on SPED strategies, IEP Writing and Inclusion Program are being conducted daily this month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Basic Sign Language class on Dec. 28 to 29, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Muñoz offers consultancy on setting up special education schools and programs.
