Busy season for Veda artists

MANILA, Philippines - Veda Productions recently marked its seventh year in the industry. Veda is a production house that specializes in TVC and AVP production and artist and events management. Veda is owned and managed bymedia practitioner Olive de Jesus. Olive was a former Program Manager of Q-11 and spearheaded pioneering shows such as Moms, Ay Robot, and Stars On Ice. Olive also worked for Viva Television where she produced such shows as Spotlight, Mikee, and Ms. D.

Veda is the management company of Tuesday Vargas and Manilyn Reynes.

Tuesday continues to soar high as she does her rounds in corporate shows and special events. Tuesday is semi-regular co-host on TV5’s Shall We Dance? and judge on Talentadong Pinoy. She is also part of GMA 7’s Show Me Da Manny and the featured artist in Zirkoh, Tomas Morato Sundays. In between gigs, Tuesday is gearing up with the ensemble comedy series Six in the City to be held at the Music Museum on January 2010.

Manilyn, on the other hand, just arrived from a successful series of shows in Canada. She also attended the Hawaii screening of Dead Na Si Lolo, the Philippines’ official entry to the 2010 Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.

Manilyn is also busy with a series of radio and mall tours in promoting album titled Manilyn...Loving Mom produced by Veda Productions and distributed by GMA Records. The album’s carrier single is Come In From The Rain and encapsulates the central concept of the CD which is a tribute to all mothers. Manilyn recently finished doing the soap All My Life and she is featured on GMA 7’s Dear Friend for the entire month of December. 

Other Veda Productions artists are comedienne Emma Vergara, stand-up comic Ador “Michelle O’bombshell” Cuntapay, character actresses Karla Pambid and Jinky Laurel, and child stars Dani Salamante and Eunice “Charming” Lagusad.
