Snow World at Star City

MANILA, Philippines - This year, Snow World recreates the manger scene, the stable where the Lord was born together with the Blessed Virgin Mary, his mother, St. Joseph, his father, and the wise men from the east who came to adore him at the manger.

The manger scene on ice was made by Filipino artists following the old Christian traditions. The first known manger scene to be recreated at Christmastime was said to be made by St. Francis of Assisi himself.

The manger scene is a common sight in big buildings, schools, homes and most especially at churches during the Christmas season, but this is the first time that it has been created on ice.

Beside it is a traditional Filipino Christmas scene with some carolers singing, men cooking lechon for the noche buena, and people all dressed up for the midnight Mass, all created on ice.

Also at the Snow World is a recreation of Santa Claus’ house at the North Pole, where everyone can have a picture taken with the good old Santa.

All these can now be seen at the Snow World in Star City. Snow World is where you can experience real snowfall all year round. It is open daily, 4 p.m. onwards, and 2 p.m. onwards on weekends.
