2009 Mr. and Miss Lyceum proclaimed

MANILA, Philippines - One of the highlights of the recent celebration of Lyceum of the Philippines University’s Foundation Week was the proclamation of this year’s Mr. & Ms. Lyceum, who will both be the university’s Ambassadors of Goodwill and official representatives to inter-school student activities for the coming school year. 

Chosen as the best from among an equally good-looking group of 10 male and 10 female finalists were: Rafael Davila, as Mr. Lyceum 2009, a 17-year-old, freshman BS Tourism student who is also a commercial and ramp model on the side. His female counterpart is Rodina Jean Luspo, Ms. Lyceum 2009, an 18-year-old, sophomore BS International Relations student, majoring in Diplomacy, and is also a professional ramp model. 

Other winners in the proclamation night directed by faculty member Rosemarie Ampil, were first runners-up Marc Luther Dulatre and Karina Jardin, and second runners-up Rafael Montesines and Jerika Pelaez. Event sponsors were Globe, Power Mac, Philippine Tourism Authority, Avon, Joel Cruz’s Aficionado, Slimmers World, Studio Pro, Slim & White, Nikki Veneracion, and Cover & Pages. Photo shows (from left) Dulatre, Jardin, Lyceum president Bobby Laurel, Luspo, Davila, Cory Quirino (who was the chairperson of the Board of Judges), Pelaez and Montesines.
