SPED Seminar on Art Therapy

MANILA, Philippines – Patricia Muñoz, a fully credentialed special education teacher in California, will conduct the following SPED seminars:Art Therapy for Children with Special Needs & Their Caregivers on May 17 (1 to 5 p.m.; registration at 12 noon), with medical doctor and art therapist Dr. Marian Alonzo, who trained in Hibernia College, England; How to Cope When Your Child or Student is Special, May 24; Music, a Powerful Therapy Intervention for Children with Special Needs, May 31, both with process facilitator Virgil Antonio; Utilizing Effective Strategies to Serve the Needs of Special Children, June 14; Preparing an Effective IEP, a Vital Tool in the SPED Program, June 21; and Implementing an Effective Inclusion Program for Children with Special Needs, June 28.

 All seminars and classes will be held at Protégé SPED Center, Unit 1A Rexxon’s Arcade, 36 Xavierville Ave., Loyola Heights, Quezon City (Tel. nos: 0918-3588855; 436-2620; 434-6064). Seminar hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (unless otherwise specified). Registration starts 8 a.m. 

Weekday classes on SPED strategies, IEP Writing & Inclusion Program are regularly conducted. Basic Sign Language class will be held on May 24 and 31, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
