MANILA, Philippines - Patricia Muñoz, a fully credentialed special education teacher in California, will conduct the following SPED seminars: Preparing an Effective IEP, a Vital Tool in the SPED Program on May 10; Art Therapy for Children with Special Needs & Their Caregivers, May 17 (1 to 5 p.m.), with medical doctor and art therapist Dr. Marian Alonzo; How to Cope When Your Child or Student is Special, May 24; and Music, a Powerful Therapy Intervention for Children with Special Needs, May 31, both with process facilitator Virgil Antonio.
All seminars and classes will be held at Protégé SPED Center, Unit 1A Rexxon’s Arcade, 36 Xavierville Ave., Loyola Heights, Quezon City (with tel. nos. 0918-3588855, 436-2620 or 434-6064).
Seminar hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (unless otherwise specified). Registration starts 8 a.m. Weekday classes on SPED strategies & IEP Writing are regularly conducted. Basic Sign Language class will be conducted on May 10 and 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Muñoz offers consultancy on setting up special education schools and programs.
